New Zealand IT Job Market

The IT Job Market in New Zealand continues its slow but steady increase in March '10. The number of advertised job is higher than one year ago, which indicates that there are more opportunities for job hunters.

Companies with an international focus were hit more by the recession while companies with services and products closer to government seem to be doing better. This picture may change however in the coming one or two years if and as the global economic conditions continue to improve.

Our index that measures the number of IT roles in New Zealand advertised on the internet increased to 144.1 (01 Jan 2010 = 100.0).
